The John Sarrin Scholarship Fund

Grants are to be used for:

  • the advanced education of committed Christians who are Friends Ministers or Missionaries
  • the children of ministers or missionaries
  • a Friend preparing for full-time Christian Service.

Requirements include that a person selected for the grant:

  • does not use alcohol, tobacco or harmful drugs
  • does not join the combatant military forces of any country
  • is moral and upright
  • acceptance of a grant requires maintenance of a satisfactory standard of work and conduct.  If the recipient fails to live up to these requirements, the grant may be cancelled.

Overseas applicants are encouraged to study in their own countries if needed education or training can be obtained there.

Note:  Grants are for one academic year only, and grantees must reapply for renewal of a grant.  To reapply, contact Dinah Geiger at the information listed above.
